A 22-year-old man has died in hospital after taking ill on Ben Nevis.
He was airlifted from the mountain after emergency services were alerted at 1937 BST on Sunday.
The casualty, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to the Belford Hospital in Fort William but died a few hours later.
He was located just above Half Way Lochan by Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, with help from RAF Kinloss and a coastguard helicopter from Stornoway.
