A young girl who was found dead in the grounds of Raigmore hospital in Inverness has been named by police.
Isabelle Cowley, from Shenval, Glenurquart, was four years old. Her body was found in the early hours of Wednesday.
Her mother, Rachael Cowley, 42, has been charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Ms Cowley appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday and made no plea or declaration.
She was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
