A 35-year-old pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car near High Burnside in Aviemore.
The accident, involving a blue Vauxhall Vectra, happened on the access road to High Burnside just before 2300 BST.
The man, who has not yet been named, died at the scene. The road has now re-opened.
Northern Constabulary urged anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw the car or two pedestrians to contact them.
