Hampshire have signed Pakistan's limited overs captain Shahid Afridi for their Friends Provident t20 campaign.
The 30-year-old all-rounder will become Hampshire's second overseas player for the tournament, alongside South African spinner Imran Tahir.
"Having played at the Rose Bowl for Pakistan, I know it's becoming one of the best places to watch cricket," Afridi told the club website.
"I hope very much to play a big part in the club's success in 2011."
The ex-Leicestershire player signed to play at the Rose Bowl last season but pulled out after opting to captain Pakistan in their Test series against Australia, only to resign after defeat in the first Test at Lord's.
